CULTURE WITH ADDED VALUE
Setba Foundation organizes exhibitions and cultural activities and also produces charity projects for groups at risk of social exclusion: art workshops, trips in nature, painting contests…
Setba Foundation is a private non-profit organisation launched in Barcelona on 23rd December 2009. It originated from the cultural projects that since 2007 have been taking place at Setba Zona d’Art, a multi-purpose space dedicated to the promotion of arts and culture in Catalonia.
Our mantra is culture with added value, because we use culture as the driving force to achieve our objectives: social integration, supporting emerging artists, and sustainability. In addition, we undertake different projects to maintain alive the history of Plaza Reial, where we are based, as well as the neighbourhood around us, and the city of Barcelona as a whole.
To carry out this task we collaborate with many other associations and organisations, and we set up projects for groups who are in need of assistance, from children and Barcelona’s elderly population, to carers of the mentally disabled, female victims of physical and emotional abuse, to mentally disabled people, and people with learning difficulties.
All profits from room hire, art sales and activities held at our venue are redirected into charity projects organised by the Foundation
